SuperPay: What Happens After You Submit a Transfer

Learn what happens after you submit a SuperPay transfer and how to track its status

After you submit a SuperPay transfer, it goes through a compliance review before funds are deducted and sent to the recipient. This ensures that both the beneficiary and transfer details meet regulatory requirements.


Before your transfer is processed

Before your transfer is sent, SuperPay performs the following checks to ensure everything is valid and compliant.

Once an authorised approver within your company approves the transfer, the details are sent for compliance review before funds are deducted and sent to the recipient.

1. Compliance checks

Traditional banks may use a 4–6 hour cooling-off period as a fraud prevention step after a beneficiary is added.

SuperPay uses a more detailed check before the transfer is processed. Once you submit a transfer [and it approved, it undergoes a compliance check with our banking partner. This may take up to 4 business hours.

2. Invoice requirements

To pass the compliance check, the supporting invoice should include:

  • Clear recipient details matching the beneficiary with their bank account details

  • The invoice must be issued to the same entity that is onboarded with Alaan

  • A clear description of the goods or services provided


Transfer Process

Once your transfer is submitted, here’s what happens next.

1. Transfer status and next steps

You can track your payment status in real time within the SuperPay application.

If additional information is required during the compliance review:

  • The transfer may be temporarily held

  • Our operations team will contact you directly

  • You may be asked to provide clarification or additional documents

Once the required information is provided and approved, the transfer will proceed.

2. Fund deduction

Funds are only deducted from your account after the compliance check is successfully completed.

If the transfer does not pass the review, no funds will be deducted.

3. Payment processing

Once the compliance check is successfully completed, the payment is processed as follows:

  • The transfer is processed through Visa Direct

  • Funds are routed to the recipient’s bank

  • The recipient receives funds in their local currency


FAQ

What happens if my transfer is declined, failed, or held?

If your transfer is flagged during the compliance review, funds will not be deducted from your account. Our operations team will contact you directly to request any necessary clarification or additional supporting documents. Once the required information is reviewed and approved, the transfer will proceed. You can monitor the status of your transfer at any stage in real time within the SuperPay application.

Will my recipient receive a notification when the payment is sent?

Yes. Recipients will receive:

  • An email notification when the payment process starts

  • Another email once the transfer is completed

Can I customize the notification my recipient receives?

Custom or automated email notifications to recipients are not currently supported. In the meantime, you can manually send a payment confirmation or receipt to your vendor or contractor after the transfer is completed.
