To open an Alaan Account, the authorized individual must complete a Nafath Verification, a process mandated by Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).

According to SAMA’s official rule on Approved Electronic Services for Identity Verification (KYC), all financial institutions in Saudi Arabia are required to use approved electronic services by National Information Center (NIC) to verify the identity of individuals associated with a business relationship, including authorized managers and signatories.

Nafath is an electronic identity verification service provided by the National Information Center (NIC) and is approved by SAMA for this purpose. It ensures that the person opening the account is properly authorized and compliant with regulatory standards.

This guide provides a step-by-step process to help you complete Nafath Verification quickly and smoothly.

Step 1: Check your inbox for an email from [email protected] with the subject: Complete Your KYC Verification for Alaan. Tap the click here link in the email to open the verification request.

Step 2: Review your information and authorize sharing the details with our KYC partner (Authentica).

Authentica is a private digital identity service provider that facilitates electronic identity verification through the Nafath platform in Saudi Arabia. While Authentica itself is not a government entity, it operates within a regulatory framework established by the National Information Center (NIC) and is approved to integrate with Nafath, which is managed by the NIC.


Step 3: For verification purposes, the app will show you a number that you'll be requested to select on the Nafath app (Step 5). Please memorise this number or note it down if easier.

Step 4: Log in to the Nafath App, navigate to the Requests tab and Accept the verification request from Authentica.

Step 5: Enter the verification number noted in Step 3.

Step 6: Go back to the app, where you should see a confirmation message.
