We're gradually introducing password-based login for Alaan users with Cardholder-only access.
You'll be prompted to create a password to log in to Alaan across your roles and companies. If your company uses Single Sign-On (SSO), your existing login process will remain unchanged.
ℹ️ Your 4-digit passcode isn't going away
You'll use your new password to log in to Alaan. Your existing 4-digit passcode will still be required for sensitive actions, such as activating or unfreezing a card.
You can also continue using supported biometrics for convenient everyday access to the mobile app.
Steps to set up your password
Step 1: Log in to the Alaan app
Open the Alaan mobile app and log in using your existing 4-digit passcode.
Step 2: Select Set Password
When the Introducing Password Login screen appears, tap Set Password to begin.
Step 3: Create your password
Enter your new password, then enter it again to confirm. Your password must:
Contain at least 8 characters, with no spaces.

Include at least one special character, such as *, &, # or @.
Once you've entered a valid password, tap Set Password.
Step 4: Complete the setup
Tap Continue to Login to finish setting up your password. You can now use your password to log in to Alaan.
Setting up your password later
If you're not ready, tap I'll Do It Later. You can skip password setup up to 5 times, after which you'll need to create a password to continue using the app.
You can also set up your password at any time using either of the following methods:
Option 1: Through the notification banner
Open the Alaan mobile app.
Go to the Expenses tab.
Tap the We've added passwords for login! banner.
Follow Steps 3–4 in the section above to create your password and complete the setup.
Option 2: Through your profile settings
Open the Alaan mobile app.
Go to Settings → Profile.
Tap Set Password.
Follow Steps 3–4 in the section above to create your password and complete the setup.
