Note: This guide is not applicable to users with the Card Holder role.

Adding money to your Alaan account is quick and easy. Your beneficiary account details are only available to users with Admin or Accountant roles.

Steps

Step 1: Click Add Funds under your current balance on the Dashboard.

Step 2: You will see the Beneficiary Details of your dedicated IBAN and the account where your funds will be held.

🇦🇪 UAE - Funds transferred to your Alaan account must originate from a UAE bank account, registered under the same entity as your Alaan account.

Step 3: Transfer the amount via mobile or net banking, or by visiting your bank branch.

Facing an error with dedicated IBAN? Below are the troubleshooting steps:

  • Manually enter the IBAN: Type the IBAN directly instead of copy-pasting it.

  • Add as a new beneficiary: Add the IBAN as a new beneficiary in the banking portal.

  • “Beneficiary name not valid” error: Submit the details even if this message appears. In many cases, the beneficiary details are added successfully despite the warning.

  • Retry after a short interval: If the IBAN isn’t accepted immediately, try again after a short interval.

Please contact us if the above suggestions doesn't resolve the error.

Step 4: Your funds will be credited to your Alaan account once they reach our banking partners, after UAEFTS checks are completed by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and processing is completed. Continue reading to learn more about processing times.
