How to create a SuperPay transfer

You can send money inside the UAE (Domestic) or outside the UAE (International) with SuperPay

SuperPay is Alaan's payment solution that lets you send money securely and efficiently to suppliers and contractors, both domestically 🇦🇪 and internationally 🌍.

Step 1: Go to SuperPay on the left sidebar and click Payments.

Select Make a payment to send directly for payment approval, or select Add bill if you want bill approval before payment approval.

  • 🌍 International: An invoice is mandatory. Upload your invoice, contract, proforma invoice, or purchase order.

Alaan's AI automatically fills in the details: amount, bill number, dates, and accounting fields (GL Account, Tax Code, Vendor, Classes/Dimensions).

Step 2: Select a Recipient → Choose a saved recipient, or add a new one.

Step 3: Enter the Amount and Check the Payment Source. You'll see your payment source option.

  • 🇦🇪 Domestic: Your Alaan Business Account is selected as the payment source

  • 🌍 International: You can choose which wallet to pay from (primary wallet or any sub-wallets you've created). You'll also see the FX rate and your account balance

Step 4: Select the Purpose of Payment. If unsure, explain the reason for making this payment to Ali, Alaan's AI support assistant, who will guide you on which option to select.

Who pays for the transfer? It depends on which option is selected:

  • Sender pays: The fee is added on top. Example: You send AED 10,000 → AED 10,050 leaves your account, the recipient gets the full AED 10,000.

  • Beneficiary pays: The fee comes out of the amount. Example: You send AED 10,000 → the recipient gets AED 9,950.

Step 5: Click Submit Bill.

What happens next

Once the payment is submitted, it goes through the bill approval and payment approval flows defined by your organization. You can find approval requests under SuperPayPaymentsBills for Approval and Payments for Approval tabs.

FAQ

Add bill: The transfer goes through bill approval first, then payment approval.

🌍 International

Do I need an invoice for international payments?

Yes - an invoice is mandatory (or a contract, proforma invoice, or purchase order).

What are the mandatory fields an invoice must contain?

To be accepted for a SuperPay transfer, an invoice must include all of the following:

  • Date: The invoice must include a clear issuance date.

  • Business Name : The name must match the entity registered with Alaan and include a UAE business address.

  • Invoice Number: This can be numeric or alphanumeric (e.g., INV-2024-001 or 10045).

  • Bank Account Details: Complete beneficiary bank account details are required. If the invoice is for an individual, the bank account must belong to that same individual. If it is for a corporate entity, the bank account must belong to that same corporate entity.

Can I use the same invoice again if I paid only part of it?

Yes. If you paid only part of the invoice, you can use the same invoice again to pay the remaining amount. Just enter the amount you want to pay and submit the payment.

Which countries and currencies are supported by SuperPay?

SuperPay currently supports international transfers to the United Kingdom (GBP), United States (USD), Egypt (EGP), Pakistan (PKR), India (INR), Bangladesh (BDT), Philippines (PHP), and supported European countries in EUR.

For the full list of supported European countries and currencies, see: SuperPay: Supported Countries and Currencies.

Can I make a payment to an individual's bank account using an invoice issued to a company?

No. The invoice and the beneficiary bank account should belong to the same beneficiary type.

  • If the payment is being made to an individual's bank account, the invoice should be issued to that individual.

  • If the invoice is issued to a corporate entity, the payment should be made to the corporate entity's bank account.

Ensuring the invoice and beneficiary bank account match helps avoid delays or requests for additional information during the payment review process.
