Should I freeze or block a card?

In short, freezing a card allows you to use it again once unfrozen, whereas blocking cancels the card.

Freezing is usually the preferred option when an Admin/Cardholder think a card has been misplaced or it will not be used for a specific period. Blocking is usually for situations where the cardholder no longer needs a card, e.g. if they leave the company.

On the website portal

Step 1: Go to the Cards menu

Step 2: Select the card you want to freeze or block from the list.

Step 3: You can freeze or cancel the card from the options shown on the page. See freezing example below.

Please note that canceling a card disables it for future use. Subsequent transactions tied to this card will get declined. Cancellation is irreversible.

Even after cancelling a card, all previous transactions made on this card will still be available to everyone on their respective transactions history page.
