To use your Alaan account without interruption, you’ll need to complete your Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.
Follow the steps below depending on whether you are a new user completing your KYC for the first time, or you need to update it due to an expired Emirates ID.
👤 For New Users (First-Time KYC)
Log in to your Alaan account
Go to Cards → click Start Now
Read the guidelines carefully (this helps avoid delays)
Agree to the terms → click Continue
Update your details as required

Note: KYC verification usually takes 2 to 4 hours for the initial review. In some cases, it may take up to 24 to 48 hours.
🪪 Updating Expired KYC (Renewed Emirates ID)
If your Emirates ID has expired and you’ve renewed it, follow these steps:
Open the Alaan mobile app
Go to Profile
Select KYC Status
Upload your renewed Emirates ID
Your KYC status will refresh automatically once verified.

Use your physical Emirates ID card (not scans or stored copies)
Avoid glare or reflections when capturing your ID photo
