Start using your Alaan card on company purchases. Check out what's on this page:

How do I access my Alaan account?

In order for you to access your Alaan account, your company admin will need to invite you and issue you a card. Once you have been invited by your company admin, you will receive a Welcome email from [email protected] with a link to download the Alaan mobile app. Once downloaded, click on the same link from your email again from your mobile and follow the instructions to enter your details, and log in to the mobile application.

Note: Today, cardholders can access their card using the Alaan mobile application only. This enables you to access and manage your card easily when on the go, along with instant notifications as soon as an expense is incurred.

Here's a 1-minute video showing you how easy it is to get started.

How do I activate my Alaan card?

When a card is issued to you, it will show up on your mobile app. You can click on the cards icon at the bottom of your screen to view the cards assigned to you. If it is your first card, you will need to verify your identity and go through a KYC (know your customer) process. Simply follow the instructions on the mobile app. Once done, it can sometimes take a few hours for your KYC process to complete.

Here are a few things to keep in mind while completing your KYC:

  • Enter your details accurately including name, nationality, date of birth, etc. - it should exactly match the details in your ID

  • Scan your actual ID from your mobile phone (and not a picture of the ID)

When KYC is complete, you will receive an email. You can then return to the mobile app and follow the instructions to activate your card.

Virtual cards can be instantly activated. Go to “Cards” → select the virtual card → click “Activate Card” → the card is immediately activated and ready for use.

On the other hand, the physical card can be activated once you receive it.

How do I receive my physical card?

When a physical card is issued to you, go to the mobile app and follow the instructions to get your card delivered. Enter the address where the card should be delivered. You will have the option to update the address if necessary when the courier company contacts you.

Once received, return to the mobile app, navigate to the physical card, click “Activate Card” and follow the instructions. The card should be immediately activated.

Note: Delivery of the physical card takes 2-3 working days via Tata Express (Saturday included), and requires the Emirates ID and signature upon handover for security purposes.

How do I use my Alaan card online?

For online purchases, you may use a physical card or a virtual card. If you do not know the virtual card number, you can go to your mobile app and click on “Card Details” to view card specifics including the card number, expiry date and CVV. For some online transactions, you will receive a 3DSecure code on your registered mobile number before the transaction is authorized.

How do I use my Alaan card in-store?

To use your Alaan card in store, you will need a physical card at the moment. For certain transactions, you will be asked for the PIN. To know your pin, navigate to the card on your mobile app, Click “View Card Details” and select “View Card PIN”.

COMING SOON: You will soon be able to add Alaan cards to your Apple Wallet and Google Pay. This will enable you to use virtual cards in store as well.

I’ve made a business expense, now what?

When you make an expense, you should submit the receipt in line with your company’s policy. You can navigate to the transaction on your mobile app, click ‘Add receipt’ and take a photo of the receipt or select it from your gallery. Add any extra information about the transaction in the field ‘Spend Memo’ and select a suitable ‘Expense Category’

……aaaand that’s it folks! You’re all done.

Here's a 20-second video showing you how quickly you can update an expense on-the-go.
